Gingerbread Houses

Today we had some friends over to make Gingerbread houses and frost sugar cookies. In the end the kids could have cared less and would have rather just played. it was still fun though. Hailey loved putting all sorts of things on her house....even a whole bowl of coconut! She was sure proud and had a hay day with her friends in her room and playing with her kitchen. Here are a few pictures. My camera batteries were dying so my pictures aren't that great!

Family Home Evening!

Tonight for family night we decided to go swimming. It was so nice because the pool was empty. I guess everyone was out doing Chrsitmas stuff so it was nice for us to enjoy the pool. Hailey was a nut and I couldn't believe how well she is working on swimming. She is kicking her legs and moving her arms so well. I think by next summer she will definately be swimming by her self. Also she was putting her head in the water and pretty proud of herself. It was fun to see her so excited. She didn't want to leave at all. After we went swimming Daddy let us go to Holiday Oil and get a treat and then we had a free pass to go to the Thanksgiving Point lights so we went for a ride through them> It was a treat to see Hailey enjoy our fun family night. We will definately be heading back down there for the hay ride through the lights since she enjoyed them from the car so much. Just thought I'd share about our fun family night!

1. What is his name? Jared M Larsen

2. How long have you been married? about 5 and a half years

3. How long did you date? well our first date was the opening ceremonies of the olympics on Feb. 8th. We got engaged on Mothers day weekend and then were married August 1st. It was quick and fast for us!

4. Who eats more? at meals definately Jared...but when it comes to snacking totally me. He is not a snacker

5. Who said 'I love you' first? hmmm to be honest I can't remember. For Jared's sake I am going to say he did.

6. Who sings better? we sing about the same. Neither of us are that great of singers.

7. Who is taller? Jared by a long shot!

8. Whose temper is worse? definately mine. I am still yet to see Jared's!!!

9. Who does the laundry? Since I have been working Jared has been really good at doing it >I am trying to get back into the habit of it. I do like folding clothes though....especially Hailey's.

10. Who does the dishes? we both do equally

11. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I sleep to the right of Jared.

12. Who does the cooking? I do most of it but Jared does help out!

13. Who is more stubborn? Definately Jared...lol just kidding that would be me hands down!

16. Whose parents do you see the most? my mom cause she lives the closest

17. Who pays the bills? Jared the Accountant!

19. Why do you love your husband? I don't know if I could sum it up in words. I love Jared for so many things. He is such a great dad. He cares about me and my well being. He respects me and loves me a ton. He is so gentle and kind. He mellows me out. He helps around the house. He is nice to me when I am not feeling well. He plays with Hailey. He lets me go shopping! He lets me sleep in! He puts up with me and all my issues! I just love everything about him.♥♥♥

Snow Part 2

We had so much fun playing in the snow as a family this morning I had to share a few new pictures. We attempted to build a snowman but Jared had no gloves and my back won't allow me to bend to make one so this is what we got. hailey was pretty excited! I felt like a kid again and enjoyed having a snow ball fight with Jared and a neighbor! Who doesn't love playing in the snow?

Here is our humble little Christmas tree. Hailey wasn't quite the decorater so most ornaments are on the bottom but a few that we were able to move up~!

St. Nick

Hailey was so excited on wednesday night when she put her boot out and a "present" AKA bag of stuff, was left for her by St. Nick (AKA Grandma Lems). Since Grandpa Lems was born in Holland he likes to keep this fun tradition for the kids. Hailey was so excited she couldn't stand it! St. Nick brought her a view masters and slides, a coloring book and crayons, these cool finger puppets and a chocolate letter....which Hailey devoured! Mom and Dad also got some goodies. My Christmas Craft!

I always try to make a new Christmas craft on Thanksgiving...however this year I slacked and just barely got it done. I saw this saying and loved it so I am excited to have it it in my house now!

Dinner Time!

The other night I wasn't feeling good and Jared made dinner. When I walked out to the kitchen this is what I found. He said that Hailey wanted to be naked to eat because she didn't want her clothes to be dirty. I guess she is 100% my daugther!
