My Christmas Gift!

So we have had a bookshelf with broken bookshelves for years. The shelves were so bowed we were waiting for the day that the whole thing would just fall right down. Every year we say we will get a new one but it never happens. This year we were given some money for Christmas so we decided we had to get a new bookshelf. After shopping all day we stopped in Office Depot as the last place to look and i feel in love with these. They were on a great sale so we ended up getting two. I love them...and yes the one shelf is full of all of Hailey's books only. Can you tell i love children's books? LOL

New Bed

Hailey hates to sleep in her small toddler bed. Needless to say we have been storing a regular size bed at my Moms. We decided it was time to get the big bed for her. Hailey is so excited to have a big new bed in her room. She even had to line up several of her stuffed animals on it. Here are a few pictures of Hailey's rearranged room!

Christmas Advent Calendar

Mema is the best! For Christmas this year Colleen's parents gave us a darling handmade advent calendar. It has buttons on all the trees and ornaments to put on it for each day of december. I am so grateful for all the hardwork she put into these. I can't wait for next year to get to have fun using it all months. Thanks Mema and Grandpa!

Gifts!

Aunt Laurel always sends such fun things for Christmas. WE can usually expect to get a fun new ornament for our tree. I love seeing what we will get each year. This year she sent us some bears and Hailey went nuts over them. I think she has rearranged them on the tree several times already. Just wanted to give you a shout out Aunt Laurel and Uncle CK we appreciate all you do for us. Here is a picture of Haliey with one of the bears.

Home Teachers Rule!

Our nice hometeacher came over today to wish us a Merry Christmas! He also brought Hailey a little gift. It was really cute. On the top of it was a cute stuffed poodle and the gift inside was some playdoh stuff. Our hometeacher is the best. Hailey says Thanks Brother Taylor. She won't let go of the stuffed poodle and I am sure she will love playing with the playing. You definately helped her get in the Christmas Spirit mood. Thanks for all you do for our family and for being such a great friend!

Darling New Hat

So yesterday Hailey's church friend and neighbor Kayla gave her this darling hat she helped her mom make. Hailey was pretty proud of the new hat and has been wearing it everywhere. It is so super cute. I love it!

I used to think I was a decent photographer...until a few days ago when Hailey discovered the camera. She takes pictures non stop. I think she is going to surpase me in my efforts. Here is one of her recent photo takes!

Stay Clear!

Our whole family is sick and falling apart! I hate taht this happens right before Christmas when I actually enjoy the craziness out there. Instead of being out we are staying quarantined in our own home...except a few trips for cokes from the gas station! Anyways just wanted to let you all know why I was posting so much and probably won't for a few days. Jared has take off quite few days thsi week and has lots of congestions. They say he has no infection yet but taht his bronchocal tubes are swollen so they are giving him medicine to help that which in turn should help him improve quickly. For Me on the other hand of course I'd have a Sinus infection and an Ear infection. I can never get just one thing. I am pretty miserable but Hailey just keeps telling me she will help make me feel better. I love that little girl. Hopefully she won't catch everything. SHe does have a bad couch and runny nose but we are hoping it is just a cold for her. Well all the meds are starting to hit me so I am off to bed. Just wanted to send a quick update.

Gift Exchange

Hailey got together with her good friend Emma to exchange Christmas gifts. I think Emma enjoyed playing in Hailey's room more than anything but Hailey loved the gifts. Emma got her a My Little Pony that had popcorn on it and a "diet coke" drink as well as a bigger baby pony that talks. The pony has been all over with us today. Thanks Lauri we love the gifts!

PS Lauri got me a "spa" basket since Jared never sends me to one! LOL

Sleep

So apparently Hailey woke up this morning and asked to watch a show. Jared turned around and she was sound asleep sitting on the couch so he had to take a picture~

PS Don't ya love her bandaid head. She won't stop scratching at her face and we want it healed for Christmas!

Gardner Village Elves

We braved the cold for a few short min. and enjoyed a fun stroll through Gardner Village last night. Hailey enjoyed seeing the elves and getting a cute new Christmas bracelet! Just had to share a few pictures!

Traditions

Since I was a little child we have gotten a new Christmas ornament every year. We always picked something we liked or something that related to what we were doing. When we moved out we got to take all of them with us. Jared and I decided we would carry that tradition out as well. In the previous years we have picked Hailey's but this year she picked hers and of course it was Dora! Jared got a golf ornament and I got a M&M one. It was fun to see Hailey this year so excited to pick her ornament and place it on the tree!

Thanksgiving Point Hay Ride!

Tonight we were able to go out to dinner with some of Jared's family and then down to Thanksgiving Point to go on a hayride through the lights. It was so cold but Hailey couldn't smile big enough. It was so fun to see her so excited. Here are a few pictures!
