A new song!

So Hailey made up this song this weekend and was running all over singing it. Here are the words: It's good to be home, I'm never alone, I've got my good friends behind me.!"

She cracks me up!

Good Ole Boise, Idaho......

So We had the wonderful opportunity to take a mission vehicle up to Boise Idaho this weekend. We have never made this trip before so I thought it woudl be fun. However I do like to make fun of Idaho being farms and no much there....ask me about my Pocatello trip and you'll understand why...sorry to all you Idahoans I just like to be a pain! Well we decided that we'd head up Friday night and spend the night then come back on Saturday.

We left in the early afternoon and got to good ole Boise about six or so. We were all so hungry and tired from being in the car. Hailey was a pain on this trip... I told Jared if we could just find the mall there were some decent restaurants...of course I checked out the mall before this trip and they even had a GYMBOREE i was shocked!! So after driving around the wrong way we finally found the mall. We went in a few restaurants and they had long waits. Finally i just said pull over and we will eat here. It was a mexican restaurant so I thought oh this will be great! Needless to say it was HORRIBLE> the service was crappy and the food sucked too. $30 later I could have had a much better dinner. So as we are pulling out we see like five of our favorite places. Oh wells I guess you live and learn....

SO then we go check into our hotel and our room has two small double beds. I was busting up cause with Jared's height their is no way he'd fit on that bed. So he called the front desk and they let us move to a room with a queen. So by this point of course I am annoyed. Hailey wanted to go swimming and I wanted to sit in the hot tub so off we went. Needless to say there were five hunderd....well it felt like it...people there and it was not even enjoyable. The hot tub was just luke warm and I got hit in the head with a dumb baskeball. At this point I was annoyed and we decided to leave.

We went back to our room where I tried to get on the internet but of course the free wireless didn't work. If only you could have seen how irritated I was. I decided we should all just go get dressed and go get a treat. Mainly I just need a big ole Diet Coke after my annoying day. We had seen a Walmart earlier so we decided to go there and see where we were meeting the Elders in the morning. We strolled aroudn Walmart for a while and I kept thinking it was so wierd how tired Hailey was. When we got back in the car it was almost midnight. No wonder she was so tired.

Therefore we headed back to the hotel and went to bed! I was up all night because I couldn't' sleep and the bed was so uncomfortable etc etc etc. Then we had to be up super early to meet the Elders. We had talked about having Jared just go meet them and then we could go to the mall or do something fun after...however I was annoyed so We opted not to do that. We got all our stuff packed up and headed with Jared to meet the Elders. Finally they arrived we switched the cars and it was time for breakfast. We got some yummy McDonalds. You can't go wrong with their breakfast! We decided that we'd just head home since it was early and everything wouldn't be opened yet.

Basically it was a boring trip and things didn't pan out the way we would have liked. I was a little bummed about the whole trip but was glad we got out of the city for a drive....well as we were driving home the sun was so bright and we were looking in the car and we found the coolest sunglasses ever. I think THIS IS THE Best part of the trip. Seeing Jared in the "stolen" sunglasses. HA HA HA I haven't laughed that hard in quite sometime. SO Thank you to the Boise Idaho Elders for the Sunglasses. Jared was quite the RIOT!

PS Sorry I have no other pictures. Of course i didn't take my camera so I didn't document anything! LOL

PPS SORRY IF THIS MAKES NO SENSE I AM SO TIRED AND HAD LACK OF SLEEP LAST NIGHT!!!

Conversation with Hailey.....

So we have been trying to get Hailey potty trained for a while now. She will show interest and then give up again. She is really stubborn and has to do things her own way I guess. She will do it when she is ready. We leave the option up to her since we don't want to force her. So today we are in the mall and this is the conversation she had with me.

Hailey, "Mom what do you wear on your bum?"
Mom, " I wear underware."
Hailey, " I wear pull ups on my bum"

Then she pauses for a min and asks..

Hailey "Mom what do grown ups wear on their bum!"

She cracks me up. So I guess on Sunday she asked my cousins little boy this question as well. And then tongith she asked Jared the same thing. I guess she is possibly starting to think about potty training and how it works! LOL

The Name Game

Alright Tracie tagged me so here goes how we picked Hailey's name.

I have always liked the name Hailey. Ever since Jared adn I were married I told him that my daughter would be called Hailey. Well he had no problem so thats the way it was. We just agreed. I also told him our first boy would be Zachary. Ever since we always referred to our kids as Hailey and Zachary! For Hailey's middle name we choose my middle name which is Denise. It is not only my middle name but ties back up to my Dad's name Dennis. We loved the sound of Hailey Denise and that name couldn't have fit her better. If we ever are able to have more kids and it is a boy we will name him Zachary Jared....however I really like the name Carter Jared too so that might grow on me. Plus I could buy him all Carter's clothes so the tags would say his name! LOL However if we having another one I am sure it will be a girl because we have no other girl names that we liked. Alright so I rambled on too long but basically I just loved Hailey's name and it was stuck!

Now I tag everyone who reads my blog!

Spring is coming....to bad we are supposed to get rain tommorow....

It was such a nice day today that we decided to head to the park after dinner. Hailey was so excited and couldn't wait to use her new Princess Baseball set she bought at Toys R Us. However when we got there she was more into the slides than the baseball. After a while we played baseball with her and it was so much fun! She has so much energy and I can't believe she wasn't worn out but she kept on trucking. After the park Daddy took us to the gas station to get a treat. Of course Mommy got her Diet coke and Hailey got M & M's Daddy wasn't in the mood for a treat. Mother Nature thanks for the nice day. Please don't bring the rain tommorow!

Happy Easter....Happy Birthday...PICTURES

Here are Hailey's Easter and Birthday pictures. I wasn't too happy with how they turned out so I wasn't going to put them up there. But then I thought of course I have to put them up. Everyone will expect me to have had them done. SO here they are. Sorry they aren't the best. Hailey didn't mess with the photographer well and I think that is why I just don't love them.

Coloring Easter eggs!!

THe egg mommy made for daddy....it says BYU SUCKS! LOL Noticed how Jared didn't show the bad part. Silly Jared he knows the Utes are best right?

Our super creative eggs. hailey didn't color hard enough for the writing to show up but she had a ball doing it.

Easter Eggstreme

Today we headed down to the super windy and cold Utah valley to good ole Thanksgiving Point for their Easter Eggstreme Festivites. We got to ride the cow train, get a balloon flower, have our faces painted, Play several games, Go fishing, see the farm animals and have an Easter Egg Hunt. It was so fun this year to see Hailey get into it and so excited. Despite the cold weather we tried to have fun. WE didn't last long though we were too cold! We chickened out and went for a ride to check out houses! Enjoy the pictures!

Princess Jasmine

I do not know how we will return this book to the library. Hailey has been carrying it everywhere. Last night Jared went to check on her and she was keep a tight grip on it in her sleep. she loves Princess Jasmine now!!
This is the biggest bite ever! Can you tell my Princess loves rice? She jsut a shovels it in!

I blog...

So today while I was waiting for my Weight Watchers meeting to start this is the conversation I hear Hailey having with another lady in the room.

The lady, " Says something about spring weather."
Hailey, " I ride my bike to the playground yesterday."
The Lady, "Oh really" ....possibly a little annoyed by her....
Hailey, 'Yup and my mom put pictures of it on my blog....

I was dying lauging.

LOL She cracks me up. I don't know where she gets it from. Apparently I must blog too much! Love you Hailey!

The Things we do for our kids....

The things we do for our kids....

We eat at McDonalds....

Because we find out that they have Princess Toys in their kids meals. Don't worry boys they have Pirates for you! LOL So we happened to go to McDonalds yesterday for the first time in a while. Of course the toy is a Princess Toy and Hailey goes nuts. Needless to say I bet you can't guess were we went for lunch again today! I love doing things that make Hailey happy. And seriously eating McDonalds two days in a row is not my favorite but it was worth it to see her excitiment at getting Princess toys!

PS The funny thing of the story too is that of course I could just go to McDonalds and purchase the toys but the whole experience of eating their chicken makes it that much better!

GOTTA LOVE IT!

Toys R us!

We just had to share a quick picture of Hailey's "awsumb" trip to Toys R us...compliments of Grandma and Grandpa Awsumb. I was really hoping this year I coudl persuade Hailey to get a bigger nicer item but of course she wanted a bunch of little items. Needless to say I let her get whatever she wanted since that is what Grandma and Grandpa woudl have wanted. Also Hailey picked a few toys on specials like buy one get one free or buy one get one for a percent off. I think she scored pretty big and she is now sleeping with all her fun new thing! Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa Awsumb. You made my day!

Daddy took the pics so sorry they aren't the best!

Make your own Build a bear at home...

For Hailey's birthday she got a make your own build a bears at home toy. It was so cute and the perfect gift for someone who had their birthday party at Build a bear. When we got home this was one of the first things that Hailey wanted to do. I love that we can unzip them and restuff them again! The gift just keeps on giving and of course she loves carrying a stuffed animal around with her all the time! We had so much fun making some new small bears! Thanks Christian for the great gift!~

PS Kate this is proof that I didn't return your gift. Notice it is out of the box and opened! LOL I loved your comment about the UPC! Your too funny!
