Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween today. I spoiled Hailey and took her to lunch at McDonalds. She was so excited and loved wearing her costume and seeing other kids dressed up too! After that we headed to Jared's work so she could see his "friends" Hailey was pretty lucky and ended up with a few treats from visiting with people. After that we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa Awsumbs house. We had some yummy soup and sandwiches for dinner and then all the kids went out trick or treating. Hailey definately was the most determined. She didn't want to stop. At first she ran all over with Tietjen...then he got tired so she ran all over with Parker, he went home...and she ran all over with Kolby. I think she would have stayed out all night if we let her! Thanks for the fun night everyone. Oh ya Hailey gave her cousins treat bags with the silly glasses! Hailey and Parker watching a movie. All worn out from trick or treating!

FHE and Cornbelly's

Tonight it was Hailey's turn to teach Family Home Evening. She has been so excited all week. We have a Family Home Evening video and she knows how to work her way through it so we let her use that. She has been talking about how excited she was. So needless to say I made some super yummy Taco Soup tonight for dinner and we invited Grandma and Grandpa Lems over to have dinner and Family Home Evening. She did her lesson while we ate dinner. Then we piled in our car and headed to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. Hailey was so excited she couldn't wait. Normally we woudl have gone by now but it hasn't work out. I am glad we took the time to go cause she had a ball. It was fun to have Grandma and Grandpa come along too. Afterwards we went to the Ice Cream Parlor and had a yummy Family Home Evening treat. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for joining us in our fun night. Enjoy the pics!

I'm a bad mom...

So last week I was invited to a Bow party for Ali Bug's Bows at my friend Megan's house. I ended up running back home to get Hailey so I could try a few hats on. By the way thats where I got her darling brown hat. Needless to say she had a ball playing with Rachel and won't stop talking about her. The next day I asked her why she had so much fun playing with Rachel...

Hailey's response was, "Mom, she has little shet pops.!"

I was busting up cause she mixed it up meaning Little Pet Shops but it sounded like a naughty word and all I could do was ask her to say it again and laugh my head off. I am a bad mom for making my child swear but it totally sounded like it. I can't even look at them in the store now without thinking about it. I would post a video but she won't let me film her. Needless to say I have to get her something Little Pet Shop for Christmas. I love my Hailey!

Dinner tonight...

So I am trying a new receipe I saw at a Pampered Chef party tonight. It is so delicious and I can't wait to make it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Thought I'd share my new favorite recipe.

1 onion
1 can diced green chilies
2 cans corn
4 cans stewed tomatoes
1 can pinto beans
1 can kidney beans

MY best day ever...

Today was one of my best days ever. I got to sleep in this morning and be lazy with minimal distractions from Hailey. Thats a first normally she won't leave me alone. After waking up I got to deal with Hailey being onry about getting her hair washed. But you know what I kind of like enduring that daily battle with her. After we were all ready for the day we got in our car and headed to meet Kate at Gardiner Village. We always go in Sept or early October but we just made it today and Halloween is next week. I can't beileve we are slacking off this year.

I was so excited to take Hailey to see the witches and perhaps get a few good pictures of her. You all know I am always hoping for a darling new photo of her. And what could be better with a darling fall scenery in the back ground. I was also pretty excited to eat at the Naborhood Bakery. Its a fun treat to have every once in a while. SO I pulled in and couldn't believe how many cars were in the parking lot. I was so excited to see tons of people out enjoying the same thing as me. I mean who wouldn't be excited to see crowds and crowds of people. Then an even more exciting thing happened. I drove all over the parking lot and would you believe there was no parking, but thats okay I was having a happy moment looking at all the people. After a quick call to Kate it was decided we'd head to Zupas for lunch and come back. Yeah I was a little dissapointed that I didn't get to eat at Gardner Village but I was starving and Zupas does have yummy soup. So We headed that way. I had packed a sandwich for Hailey and decided to just let her eat it in the car. She was so happy and gobbled it up!

I decided to take 1300 West Down to 106th South. Well When I turned on 106th South there were tons and tons of cars. I kept thinking to myself how exciting it was to be in so much traffic. Who doesn't love traffic? It's the best when you are in the car with a gumbling tummy and in dire need of a coke Traffic is the BEST!

Zupas was super yummy as always. I really need to go there more often I forgot how yummy that soup sure is! After Zupas we decided to possibly try going to another place instead of Gardner Village. It stil had a fall theme and the kids would love it right. Needless to say we got back in that wonderful line of cars known as traffic. I was happier now I was fed and of course you know I LOVE TRAFFIC.

WE finally got to the other place. Pulled the kids out and it was a dud. Once again lots of kids and nothing really. We walked around for a bit and decided we were so happy from the festivities that we should really go back to Gardner Village. The kids would be so happy and of course I would too with all those people, crowds and no Parking stalls!

We made it back and I finally found a Parking Spot. I felt like I scored big time. It was time to get out of the car to enjoy the witches and snap a few pictures. Not to my surprise but Hailey was horrible about having her picture taken. I really do love when she is like that and it makes me so happy. There is nothing more fullfilling as a Mom then taking a horrible picture of your child. I definately will be blowing up and framing all of these. I mean come on don't you think they are the best pictures EVER!

A few snap shots later it was time to end our adventure. Here are my wonderful pictures. Don't be too jealous I know you want these shots to be of your kid. Enjoy!

PS If you read to the end of this your the best...or the bottom!!!

PPS This post is for my dear friend Kate. She noticed my blog has been a little sad lately so I thought I'd make the best of the situation and try to be postive and entertain all of you. I hope you enjoyed that and I really promise life is going to get better right?
