Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! Today we woke up early and went to the West Jordan Parade. Hailey loved it and was so excited. This afternoon we packed up and headed to Sandy city for their night time parade and fireworks. We had a great time and Hailey was hilarious taking pictures tonight. She was getting some good shots so I had to share them. Enjoy the pics. HOpe your 4th was safe and happy!

Swim Day

Today we invited everyone over to come have a swimming afternoon. Grandma & Grandpa Awsumb came as well as Guy, Erin, Parker, Drue, Shantel, Kolby & McKenzie. We had so much fun swimming all afternoon. Grandma even bought us some pizza for dinner andt hen we had creamies for dessert. Thanks to everyone for coming. Hopefully we can do it again soon. We had a great time. And my Dad is a big dork in the pool but so funny. He will have to come show off again for us!

The day after I got my tonsils out Hailey came home and surprised me with these. She was so excited to give me get well soon balloons!

Western Stampede Rodeo

Tonight we took Hailey to the West Jordan rodeo. SHe loved it and now can't wait to play rodeo at home! Jared will kill me for this picture but it was funny so I had to post it. He is sporting Hailey's hat!

Jordan Landing Car Show

Tonight we ran over to Jordan Landing's car show because Grandpa Awsumb came down with his Chevy! It was fun to spend time with him and see the cars. Haliey stole Grandpas chair and was afraid she was going to get caught. She was making some funny faces so I had to keep snapping pictures. Enjoy!

Great Grandma's Carnival party

Last week Grandma Lems took Hailey to Great Grandma's Assisted Living Centers annual carnival. They had a bbq dinner and Hailey got to play games and have tons of fun. She won tons of prizes and even a fish. We'll see how long that lasts. She had such a great time and was so glad that Great Grandma invited her to her party. Hailey hopes to go again next year. Thanks for the fun time..

I'm home...

I guess I never posted on that I was finally able to come home yesterday afternoon. That was such and exciting day and so nice to be home to my own bed and shower. I think that was one of the best showers I have ever had. I am still pretty weak and have to be careful but its nice to be in my own home recovering. Thanks to everyone who has and is helping us. I really appreciate it. It's so hard for me to not just be up and going but I have to be careful and do very minimal at a time or I will end up right back where I was. I can feel that this has taken its toll on my body but hopefully I can recover quickly. My throat is still pretty sore from the tonsil surgery which was to be expected. Between the two I feel like a mess. Anyways just thought I'd I update to let you all know I am home.

PS One of the other best things about being home is seeing Hailey. I missed that girl more than I thought and she has been so cute helping take care of me or just cuddle with me. She is such a gem!

Update

I graduated to a real room in the hospital. I know you are all jealous. I do have phnemonia and have been treated for it pretty aggressively. I am finally to the point that I can move around and function a little bit. It still takes a lot out of me. Sunday night was pretty scary. It took Jared quite a well to convince me something was wrong and I needed to go to the Er. After convincing me. I WAS SO OUT OF Breath and could only walk a few steps. Needless to about a half hour later we were on our way to the Er. Jared dropped me at the door and went to park the car. They immediately came and got me right back. I was hooked up to so many things so quickly I just remember them keep saying you are really really sick. They had on 80 liters of oxygen at first and I still was having a hard time breathing. Luckily that has come way down and I am on 1 to 2 liters if I put it on. I prefer to have it off. So I am sure it will still be a slow recovery but I am glad to at least be here. That sure was a scary night. Poor Jared who has had to put up with it all but I am glad is a trooper and realized the seriousness of how sick I was. I miss my Hailey so so much. Thanks so much to grandma Lems for being so nice and willing to take Hailey for us and to Jennie and Cory for helping out during the days and tonight. Hailey was so excited to tell me on the phone that the rallison cousins invited her to sleep over so I am glad she is happy. I don't want her anywhere near this hospital with all the swine flu precations so I will be glad to give her a big hug when I get out of her. By the way they have tested me for swine flu three times just to be precautions and I have been in isolation. SO not fun and that test is awful! Don't recommend it on any one. Well back to resting hopefully I will be home in the next day or two I am getting anxious! There's no place like home.

PS My tonsils seems to be healing okay bug are still bugging me some. So needless to say I just get to add this fun hospital stay to my recovery!

To the knife...

Today was the day of my dreaded tonsillectomy. It went well for the most part. I had huge huge tonsils and normally at my age they will go away as well as your adenoids. WELL I was the oldest patient today of my Dr. and the only who who still had adenoids so they took those out as well as my tonsil. And both of those were probably playing a big huge role in me being sick with colds and sinus infections all the time. I am feeling more miserable as the night goes on. He said that tomorrow will be worse than today so hopefully I can stay on top of the pain meds and control it. However he told both Jared and I numerous times its going to be a rough two weeks for sure maybe longer. I am not looking forward to it. HOWEVER I will push through because I rather deal with it all now and not keep getting sick all the time. It hurts to talk so if you call I may not answer but I will try to occasionally post and update on here. Back to resting for me.

PS now that I HAD SURGERY the weather will be a lot nicer so please enjoy it for me!
