Epic Dance Convention 2013

This past weekend Hailey was able to participate in the Epic Dance Convention. This was her second year to attend and she was so excited. She enjoyed getting to take classes from several different choreographers all weekend, learn new styles and techniques, dance of course, be with her friends and have a good time. She was exhausted after two fun filled days but I think she learned a ton and would do it all again today if we'd let her. She sure does love dancing and I love watching her learn and grow. The past few month have been really interesting especially because she is really starting to get a better understanding for dancing and what it takes and how you have to figure it out. I love seeing her understanding grow as she also grows and develops in dancing and other aspects of her life. Way to go Hailey! Keep up all your great hardwork! 

FUNKEYS!

DISCLAIMER:  I think these pants are soooo ugly! They remind me of MC Hammer pants (I remember my brother having neon pink/green ones that were velcro).... yet they are all the rage again among dancers I guess!  Despite my feelings Hailey has been begging for a pair of these FUNKEYS pants for a good year now. Around the dance studio they are quite popular. I think they are so weird and ugly. I haven't been a fan at all. Needless to say I knew they were going to be selling them at her dance convention this weekend so I tucked some of my hard earned crafting sales money away to surprise her. She was more than thrilled that I let her buy these crazy pants. She didn't take them off all weekend. Despite how ugly they are I have to admit she was pretty cute running around in them.... I still am not a fan but she is pretty cute. She is one proud owner of her new FUNKEY pants!

 I asked her to show me how well she can move in them and this was the response I got! hahaha

I"m sure this is only the beginning of me seeing her in these pants. I think they are gonna be a new staple for her!

Crazy Hair Day

A few weeks ago it was CRAZY HAIR DAY at school. We decided to meet up with some of Hailey's friends before school and spray their hair crazy colors. Hailey had so much fun seeing what her friends had done with their hair and spraying it different colors. I wish I'd have been able to go to the school and see all the crazy ideas the kids did to their hair! Such a fun day!

3rd Grade Craft and Hobby Fair

The 3rd grade classes held a Craft and Hobby fair last week. Hailey was super excited to get to take her beanie boo collection and show it off. She enjoyed sharing with her classmates and their parents about her collection. He desk was too small to fit them all so we had to leave some in the containers behind. I love how excited she gets over her beanie boos and sharing them with others. It was so much fun to watch her excitment as each person asked her questions and she answered and told them all about Beanie boos! I think this collections is a little crazy but its fun to have her excited over collection something!

Swimming

A few weekends ago Hailey was lucky enough to get to swim with her cousin Awsumb. He lives in Seattle so we don't get to see him much. They had a great time and he loved when Jared made a crazy wave pool! Hailey is now sooo sad that our pool is closed for the season!
