SO thankful!

This week has been a little hard. I guess we all have good days and bad days.

Anyways I always feel this way but have been overwhelmed with my feelings of how special and grateful my little Hailey is. She is growing up so fast and I feel like now that she is in school full day, has friends, a social life, and is dancing more we don't spend as much time together. Yesterday after school we got to hang out and I cherish those times. I love my Hailey. I can't express it enough! I'm so THANKFUL FOR HAILEY...

Needless to say I was surprised last night when a very dear special new friend of mine said she had read previous blog postings and was sorry to hear about my infertility battles. I am so glad that she was willing to talk to me about it and it encouraged me to go back and read those entries. Especially since she had no idea I was having an extra hard week with this subject. I can't believe its been almost three years since we put an end to our battle with infertility. I am grateful to look back and read about my thoughts and feelings as we were experiencing one of the hardest things in our life. If your bored you can read all about it here! I'm so grateful that I was willing to put thoughts down on my blog. I definately was able to remember things I had forgotten about.

It was very interesting also to read back and I noticed how at peace we were with our decision. After spending tons of money and putting all our time and energy into trying to concieve we knew we'd done what we needed to and that having another child was not in the Lords plan for us. And to this day even though my heart breaks daily I feel at peace with our decision. Looking back its interesting to see since that decision where our lives have gone and what is important in life.

I feel like I am totally rambling but I just wanted to share how grateful I am for Hailey, for my family, our blog and our trials with infertility. Three years later it is still just as hard but I'm glad to know we were willing to do what we needed to and have accepted the fact that it wasn't going to happen. I'm grateful also that we are able to embrace our life with Hailey and give her all that we can. I know if we had more children she wouldn't get to be invovled and do a lot of the things that she does. I would give all that up in a heartbeat to have another child however because we CAN'T I'm glad we can share with Hailey in other ways.

Please hold your families dear to you. Love your little ones and babies for me. I know Hailey and Jared mean more to me than words can express. I love them with all my heart. I feel so blessed to be a part of their family. Embrace what you have even though your heart may ache. I know mine does but I try every day to be grateful for what I do have.

Alright enough of my crazy typing....haha ...

ENJOY THE MANY BLOG UPDATES!

All I want for my birthday is my two front teeth...

Look at this cute new smile!
Hailey has had a loose tooth for a few weeks now. It was gross and hanging by a string but she'd never let us pull it. I ended up buying one of the small new lego girl sets shes wanted and put it up high to encourage her to let us pull it for a reward. It didn't work. It was looking good in the box....until Sunday night as we sat down for dinner...she decided she was ready to have it pulled. So we yanked it. Her new smile is so cute and I love that now she is telling us All I want for my birthday is my two front teeth! Gotta love it!

Sewing Adventures...

I have had some projects in mind but just haven't had the time to get to any of them~ However last weekend I did finally get to the project Hailey has been bugging me to do since Christmas. She was sad that her new puppy Cookie didn't have a blanket. I rolled my eyes at that one...however after we cleaned her room out and she sold a lot of her old toys to kid to kid I had some extra money so I thought maybe I'd give in. I took her the fabric store and she picked what she wanted for Cookie's blanket. She was so cute and excited shopping for the fabric. Also she wanted the blanket to have taggies so Cookies bone would fit in it. I whipped this up fast so its not the best but she couldn't be happier!

Also while I had the sewing machine out I was playing around and whipped up a quick rag quilt for Hailey. She still uses a lot of her baby blankets that are so small so she was excited to get a bigger blanket!  Sorry this isn't the best picture...I guess thats what I get for asking Jared to take a picture of a craft for me.....men don't pay attention to details lol

Uniform

Last week I was able to pick up my uniform for my volunteer Job with the WJPD. I felt stupid when I had to wear it for the first time but my family sure gets a good kick out of it! Its a nice outfit and it will be nice to look official now! Heres a quick pic:

This is my fancy coat. Its actually dark blue but due to the reflective and the flash of the camera it looks all wierd.

Now hopefully I can get the rest of my training done so we can get out on the road and make a difference! So excited for this new opportunity!

Climbing Higher 2012

Last week Hailey recieved her Climbing Higher award. Hailey was excited but also embarrased. Its funny to see her growing up and feeling more self confident. I was anxious to hear what she got her award for and was surprised to hear it was for her Christmas story she wrote. The teacher had the kids write a story about what they did or got for Christmas. Hailey worked very hard and did a great job writing about all her favorite new toys. We are so proud of you Hailey!

Happy New Year 2012!

Happy New Year from our Family to yours!

Master Bedroom/Bathroom Makeover 2011

I have been wanting to redo our bedroom since we moved into our house over three and a half years ago. Due to money and time we never did anything. Well thankful I had a very successful boutique in December and Jareds parents bought us the new bedding for Christmas we were hoping to use in our room. I was so excited and couldn't wait to get started. Luckily Jared took most of the week off so we rolled up our sleeves and bought paint. I am quite happy with how it turned out!
Here is our awesome new bedding setting. Brown nad Blue and the colors look awesome!
A side view of our room. We decided not to paint all the walls....funny story....Hailey is a little worried and doesn't quite understand the whole accent wall....hahah she wants it all finished painting!!

I love how our bathroom turned out. I found the shower curtain at Target and it matched perfect. It makes me so happy everytime I walk in there!!

See that huge 47 inch Black Friday Steal of a Deal TV on the LEFT??? Yup Merry Christmas to us...This was one of our biggest splurges ever. We rarely buy ourselves anything and have the same tvs from almost ten years ago when we got married. I love having a huge flat screen HD tv. We are getting lots of use out of it!

The frame in this picture is from IKEA...it was white but I painted it with the same paint we used on our walls. I LOVE LOVE LOVE The frame...its one of my second favorite things. Be prepared I have another awesome project in mind using that frame!
I found this awesome wall hanging at Hobby Lobby on clearance. Happy Day! And it matches perfect. I think its one of my other favorite things!~
The wall hangings about my bed were given to use for Christmas by my sister and matched perfect. For the large frame I got a clearance print for .99 cents at ikea and cut it down to fit.
And the best for last look how awesome this picture of Hailey is. It makes me so happy.

Hope you like my new room as much as I do. I'm in heaven!
