OH how I love thee...

All about Katie!

The other day I was looking through my blog and realized for the most part it is all about Hailey. She is definately the love of my life. Jared and her mean the world to me. Just for the fun of it since I am bad about saying things about myself I decided to write a few things all about me! Enjoy!

*I am 27 years old.

*I am the youngest of four kids...and several step brothers/sisters

*I have been married for 8 years.

*I was born in Murray, Utah and raised in West Valley City.

* I graduated from Hunter High School in 2001

* I attended LDS Business College but haven't finished my degree.. I plan to go back when Hailey is in 1st grade but I am so scared since its been so many years.

*I have lived in West Jordan the majority of my married life.

*I am currently a stay at home Mom...however I do earn a few extra dollars a month by doing mailers for our Home Owner's Association or by selling crafts.

*I have red, naturally curly hair and I hate it, however it takes to long to blow it out straight but I ocassionaly do!

*My favorite color is green. Anything and everything that is green draws my attention. Pastel green by far though is my favorite normally!

* At first I tend to be shy but once I feel comfortable and know you I am very outgoing.

*Hailey is my only child. I longed for the day of having more kids but due to major infertility was not given the chance. Its a sensitive and hard subject that brings me tears and anxiety almonst daily, but I am so grateful for Hailey and the miracle she is to us. And I do love babies so sorry if I attack yours!

*I am a night owl. I don't know if its cause I run so crazy everday that it just takes me all night to wind down or what. However I normally am up super late and will sleep in as long as Hailey lets me.

*I would have to say I like to sleep.

*I have a Diet Coke addition. Sometimes just getting a diet coke saves the day! It makes the world a better place. haha However this summer I have been doing Lemonade Light from Mcdonalds. Can I just say I love the $1 large drinks so I don't have to go into the gas station and end up buying Haliey treats and my drink!

*One of my favorite things to do is go shopping. I love finding deals and wandering around stores.

*I secretly love Target and flip flops!

*I love to eat out. I hate hate hate cooking meals at home and prefer to just eat out. I do cook though but its not my favorite. My favorite food is probably Mexican however I go through stages of what I like and when.

*I could eat an In n Out cheeseburger and fries everyday of my life. There is something about them that makes me happy...maybe is the special spread! haha

*I enjoy baking more than cooking.

*I love to do many things but in the summer we mainly swim. I love going swimming and could be in the pool all day long..I have also passed this love on to Jared and Hailey.

*I like to be busy and on the go. I have to have lots going on and things planned in advance or I go stir crazy.

*I am a worry wart. I worry about everything and anything. Especially what others think of me.

*Even though I am not good at it I love to do crafts. Anything and everything from scrapbooking to crocheting I find things to enjoy! But I am scared to death to sew. I even will post random stuff sometimes...however most the stuff I do doesn't turn out the best so you never see it.

*I am strong willed. Its my way or the highway. I make sure I get what I want and if I don't you will know I am not happy and I will hold a grudge. Its not a good thing but its just the way I am sorry!

*For some reason I have a fetish with office supplies. When I was a kid and my family went to the store I went straight to the office supply aisle to check everything out.

*I am OCD. Everything needs to be neat and clean and in its place. I love to organize too!

*I am not an animal person. Humans are enough for me.

*I love to help others. I would bend over backward for pretty much anyone and I can't say No. I end up giving a lot more than I ever recieve back. But giving its what its about right?

*My favorite sport is baseball. I played softball when I was younger and really enjoyed it. I love watching baseball because I can chat and people watch and still understand what is going on in the game.

*Most the type I try to type as fast as my brain is thinking but my fingers can't keep up. Last time I test I did type 92 wpm with only 2 errors though!

*I love taking pictures. I would secretly love to be a photographer one day but there are just too many out there now days.

Alright its now almost 2 AM so I better stop the list there. I hope you enjoyed reading about me and maybe learning some new things.

Gone Hiking...

Today was our last day to have a fun outing. We decided to pack a picnic and go for a hike. I wanted to go somewhere different so we choose Secret Lake. It was beautiful...however we never made it to the top. It was hot, Hailey was onry and we just decided to head back down. We still enjoyed our time being outdoors. Its always nice to be in the mountains on a nice hike. I am sad to see our weekend of fun end. Its been nice spending time as a family all weekend and just living it up!

 

Tommorow we have our huge Townhomes National Night Out Against Crime barbeque so we will be busy preparing for that. Based on our attendance last year we hope to have an even bigger success this year. We put a lot of hard work into it so hopefully it will pay off! Besides the barbeque I have planned other fun games and activities and of course we have a huge prize drawing for adults and kids. We were able to recieve even more donations from local businesses this year. WE are excited for everyone to come out and have fun and get to know one another! Needless to say wish us luck to survive our busy day preparing! haha!

Herriman Beach 2010

We have been long awaiting to visit this awesome beach. Hailey has been asking daily if we can go. We didn't stay long but the time we were there she sure enjoyed! Jared and Hailey were so cute making a sand castle. He is such a good Dad and a wonderful person. Seeing him being so sweet to her makes me so grateful he picked me to marry 8 years ago. Enjoy the pics!

Kennecot Copper Mine

Since Jared and Hailey have never been to the Kennecot Copper Mine I decided it was time to make the journey. I think Jared enjoyed seeing it but Hailey said it was too hot and boring! LOL I remember going as a kid so I wanted her to have the chance to go too. Maybe if we wait a few more years she will enjoy it more!

Jungle Jims Playland

Another fun activity we decided on was going to Jungle Jims PLayland. Gotta love that Geerta joined us as well and even went on all the rides. I love seeing how excited Hailey gets on the rides. She was definately worn out after that trip!

Kearns Swimming Pool

One of our fun outings was to go to the Kearns Rec Swimming Pool. We try to go to their outdoor pool a few times a summer and had a blast since it was our first time. We ran into some of Hailey's friends from her competition dance team. It was lots of fun!

Happy 8th Anniversary!

Since we hardly ever do anything for our anniversary this weekend is going to be the WEEKEND OF FUN!!! I am so excited. And Jared even took Today, Monday and Tuesday off work. Thats a big deal. Anyways just had to say we are excited to have a fun anniversary weekend! Pictures coming soon.

PS Hailey is soooooo excited to spend our anniversary with us. She is too cute!

School Outfit....

Thanks to a gift card I splurged and bought Hailey a new school outfit today. Its like a flash back from the 80's Plaid shirt and skinny jeans! I love it!

Sticker Face!!

Tonight we had to run a few errands and didn't end up making dinner at home so we decided to grab a burger at In N Out! Needless to say Hailey was pretty excited to do something new with her stickers tonight. She cracks me up!

PS This cute little girl already has a loose tooth. I am sad she is growing up!
