I think I can...

or at least that is what I tell Hailey to motivate her. I have told her that if she says that and is positive she can do it. Needless to say I dunno that it works for me but I did get a sewing machine for Christmas and I did decide I had better start trying to play around with it. I have never sown anything before or had any lessons. This is all self taught. Oh and to clarify my one experience with sewing was in Junior High Home Ec and I couldn't even get a bookmark with different stitches right.

My first project was to make a rag quilt for Geerta. It turned out okay for never doing anything before. THe pattern looks wierd but I let Haliey pick it! Haha Second I decided to quickly make a burp cloth/taggie blanket for Geerta as well. I made this in like 20 mins and didn't iron the fabric out or anything. I figure Geerta will never know and it gave me a chance to practice with the super hard minki fabric. Hailey was super excited with her new stuff and I had fun playing around with my new sewing machine...DISCLAIMER....DON"T LOOK CLOSELY I will cry if you do! Enjoy!

Get Excited....

Do these pictures not make you excited for Hailey's upcoming competition season? They sure do me. Her team looked sooooo cute dressed up for their dress rehearsal tonight. I can't wait for the Dance Revue on Saturday and the upcoming competition season. Go Team Platinum!!!

You've had a birthday...

Shout HOORAY! Geerta had a birthday Monday so of couse we had to celebrate...funny thing is she seems to have birthdays quite often. Haha. Hailey got Jared to go take Geerta and her to the store to get Cake and Icecream. Then our neighbors came over to eat treats and of course Geerta needed to be sung to and blow out candles. Its a good thing Hailey is cute and we let her spoil Geerta! Happy Birthday Geerta!~

So excited...

Today at dance Hailey got part of her Teams costume. She was sooo excited. This is just the jacket and I love how the back says WILD since they are dancing to "Wild Child". She is so excited for her upcoming dance performance and competition season. She is doing an awesome job and has the best facial expressions. I can't wait to see her perform and continue to do well in dance! Here is a quick sneak peek!

She is showing off her attitude.

...and of course I had to make one more thing right?

Wood Crafts

I have to admit I love making wood stuff but for some reason lately I haven't had any great projects to make...Maybe that stems from the fact that I never did even decorate for any holiday but Halloween and Christmas last year. Who knows.....needless to say I did geet my Valentines stuff out today and I did make these cute new crafts!

I love how these hearts turned out~
I picked these up for fun at the Wood store. Since our family is divided I had to get a Y for Jared. Needless to say it ha been sent to his work and the U will stay at our house~

My back pain mystery is solved by Dr. H

Dr. Hailey was in my house today and after a nice long examination and much thought she figured out my back problem. Keep on looking for the results!

Sometimes Doctors think they are hot stuff so they have to "strut their stuff"

This doctor takes mighty good notes

But watch out she loves giving shots!

Thinking some more about just what that problem is...
And at last we have a diagnosis:

As Dr. Hailey's Chart reads
Mom Larsen
Disk Falling
Out Leg...

Then she drew a great picture of my bad back.( I promise we didn't help her at all and I was shocked she knew that much.) And signed by Dr. Hailey

After giving me surgery by pulling "disks" from my legs and putting them back in my back she says I am healed! Hooray....then I stood up and asked her what I owed and she said, "For you its free!" Best doctor ever!

PS I did go to my back doctor today so I think that might have promted the idea! Needless to say I suffered a fall a few weeks back and have been experiencing major problems. After a nice examination the doctor decided I may have another disc problems and is sending me in for a MRI. Then we shall see what is going on. I hope we find something that can be fixed. The pain has been the worst ever but at least I have a darling Doctor at home to take care of me!

My Christmas Letter 2010

I keep meaning to post this on here but of course keep forgetting. Needless to say for those of you who haven't seen or read it here is my letter for 2010!

Ramblings from the Larsen Family Car

First off I’d like to introduce myself to you. I am a 2009 Silver Toyota Camry. In January I was enjoying watching the world from a parking lot when a darling family of three wanted to take me for a test drive. I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into but they looked like a nice family so I agreed to the test drive. After a quick ride they decided to trade their Toyota Corolla in for me instead.

I was a little timid as Jared, Katie and a darling four year old girl named Hailey climbed in and away we went. Not long after we arrived at a humble home in West Jordan where I got familiar with a nice warm garage. I have now become very familiar with this family. I even now like to call them my own. They spend lots of time with me. I’d like to share with you what I find myself doing most with each of them.
Three days a week I used to make a trip back and forth to take Hailey to preschool in Taylorsville but now we drive daily to Mountain Shadows Elementary where I assume she attends kindergarten. I also enjoy eating crumbs I find under Hailey’s car seat between shopping trips or while waiting at Synergy Dance Academy. From what I hear she is a good dancer and on a competition dance team this year as well as in tumbling classes. Occasionally I find myself driving her to places that make her smile including: Chick Fil A, Grandparents homes, friends houses, swimming pools, to yogurt shops, toy stores or where ever else her heart desires. Hailey is a daring little girl and I love seeing her happy smiling face each day. It amazes me how much she has learned and grown in the past year I have known her. Her parents are lucky to have such a sweet little girl.

Katie prefers to call me her Taxi Cab. It seems we spend the most time together out of all the family. I make sure to assist Katie in getting her errands done as well and making sure she is where she is supposed to be. I know we often end up at the local gas station, I think that Katie runs on the fuel of diet coke. We also enjoy going shopping when time permits, being involved with PTA at Hailey’s school and volunteering in her class, making weekly visits to crafting stores, dining out, taking items to boutiques for her to sell, etc. Katie is very busy but I enjoy spending most of the day with her and keeping her company.

Jared is the family member I see the least of. From what I hear he prefers to use public transportation. I do know he works two jobs, one for the LDS Church as well as Rescue Alert and has a great knowledge of Accounting. I do occasionally see him on the weekends. He enjoys taking his family for rides on Sunday evenings. Also whenever he drives my radio seems to be on Sports, from what I gather he is a big sports fan! Jared keeps busy with church callings as well as serving on their townhomes Association Board. I can tell he loves his wife of 8 years and 5 year old daughter very much. He is very supportive of them in all their activities and adventures. Even though we spend the least amount of time together I know he is a hard working Husband and Father and would do anything for his family.

I hope this letter finds you and your family doing well. I am looking forward to the Holiday Season and possibly seeing more of my family participating in their annual Christmas traditions. Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year!
